Tangible Spirits

Tangible Spirits

For a project in English 4, Mrs. Duitsman had our class draw designs on a mask to represent how we I see myself in society. The question mark represents how I don’t know where I fit in society. The heart represents my loving family and caring friends. The party hat is for the good times I’ve had at this school. The blackened eyes represents shades because my future is so bright.

Printmaking

Printmaking

After we finished the painting unit, we started making prints. For this project in Painting and Printmaking class we had to choose an image we wanted to carve out on a linoleum block. The image I chose was Seth Rogen. We then decided on two colors and I chose orange and black. The process of carving out the background and the details proved to be a challenge, but a fun one. I enjoyed doing this project and am pleased with…

Abstract Painting 2

Abstract Painting 2

This is the second abstract painting I did for my Painting and Printmaking class. Mrs. Seitz had us cut out pieces from magazines and make a collage. We then took part of the collage and replicated it using acrylic paint. I enjoyed doing this project because it was pretty laid back and I like the outcome of my painting.

Abstract Painting #1

Abstract Painting #1

This is a picture of my first abstract painting for Painting and Printmaking class. Mrs. Seitz had us pick a bible verse and paint what the verse was saying in an abstract way. For my bible verse I chose 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” I went with the idea of the center being God and everything surroudning it is what God created. I really enjoyed this project because there weren’t many limits and I…

Watercolor Painting

Watercolor Painting

For my Painting and Printmaking class our teacher had us doing a watercolor painting. I really enjoyed doing this project because it was meant to look a little messy. Watercoloring is all about finding the right shades and colors, and doesn’t focus too much on specific details. I am grateful to have Mrs. Seitz as my teacher and to have had Mrs. Johnson as well. Overall I am proud of my work, although my leaves could use a little more…

Foods and Nutrition Final

Foods and Nutrition Final

Reflection- Overall, my group and I did well in all the food we made, especially the cinnamon rolls. We had good teamwork so we could finish all of our jobs. The things we did wrong; sometimes we forgot to use an ingredient or put some stuff away. It wasn’t anythjng major, but we still had mistakes. Make sure if you are planning on cooking to put stuff away. A 10 is what I’d give for this food, it’s delicious.  …

Adversity

Adversity

Throughout my entire high school, middle school, and part of my elementary career I have faced something different. Normally when someone says they have been through adversity it’s something sad and/or tragic. For me it’s different I have a condition where I live as if I’m in a dream. It’s not psychological but rather physical. I have Autonomic Dysfunction in which my nerves over react to certain situations which exhausts my body every second. I have been suffering with this…
